Annual Meeting–Elections and Full Committee Reports

Mark your calendars for the Annual Meeting to be held on October 8, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Lomond School! This meeting is your chance to cast your ballot for a new slate of officers for the 2009-2010 year. Check out the Special Elections Newsletter for bios of all the candidates. Remember, all memberships expire on September 30, so be sure to renew your membership to ensure that you’re eligible to vote.

The meeting is also an opportunity to hear from all the committees about what they have done during the past year. It’s also a great chance to get involved in a committee to shape projects that will be undertaken during the coming year. We look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday, July 11th 10:30 AM - 5:00 PM
at St Peter’s Lutheran Church
Please drop off pre-priced items to donate from 8:30-10:30 AM. Refreshments will be served and there will be a $1 admission fee for adults. Please contact Judy Strauss at 991-6674 if you can volunteer or lend clothing racks or tables. All proceeds benefit the Lomond Association.

May 2009: Gridley Triangle Fundraiser

The Preservation and Beautification Committee has been hard at work coming up with potential grants and fundraising efforts in attempts to raise money for a Community Garden at Gridley Triangle.

For our first fundraising venture we will be selling Reusable Grocery Bags. The bags can be purchased for $5.00 a piece. Over 50% of the purchase price for each bag will be donated to Gridley Triangle ($2.75 per bag). All pre-orders can be sent via e-mail to Kim Papell at: kjndan13@sbcglobal.net .

This is a wonderful way to promote our neighborhood and show pride in being a Lomond resident.
