Spring Garden Cleanup Drawing Date Changed to May 6

Because the date of the next Lomond Association General Meeting has been changed to May 6 the drawing for the winner of the Spring Garden Cleanup will be held on that date. One homeowner’s garden will be selected.

Who is eligible: Any 65 or older Lomond neighborhood resident living on their own without family support in an owner-occupied home.

How to enter: Obtain an entry form at a Lomond Association general meeting, or download the application here. All completed entry forms must be submitted at any Lomond Association general meeting. The next meeting will be on May 13, 7 p.m. at the Lomond School Gym.

The Lomond Association welcomes guest speaker John Klassen, Director of the Shaker Museum. Mr. Klassen will present a program on the history of Shaker Heights and the Lomond area with pictures and artifacts from the museum. This special program will open with a performance by the Shaker Heights High School Womens Ensemble.

Annual Meeting–Elections and Full Committee Reports

Mark your calendars for the Annual Meeting to be held on October 8, 2009 at 7 p.m. at Lomond School! This meeting is your chance to cast your ballot for a new slate of officers for the 2009-2010 year. Check out the Special Elections Newsletter for bios of all the candidates. Remember, all memberships expire on September 30, so be sure to renew your membership to ensure that you’re eligible to vote.

The meeting is also an opportunity to hear from all the committees about what they have done during the past year. It’s also a great chance to get involved in a committee to shape projects that will be undertaken during the coming year. We look forward to seeing you there.
