Would You Like a Flower Basket?
As cooler weather is now approaching I have been asked about the fate of our beautiful flower baskets. Many people do not want to see them meet an unnecessary demise.
In the event of saving as many plants as possible before the first frost, residents of Lomond are going to be welcomed to take a plant under the following conditions:
Dena Smith (Neighborhood Beautification) will be infront of Lomond School THIS SATURDAY, October 13th from 10am until 11am. The plants will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Only the 16 plants purchased by our association will be given out. The rest along Lomond belong to the city.
In order to get a plant you must provide your own ladder, pot and soil for transplanting, and the man-power to lift the 80 pound basket. Any questions can be directed by e-mail to Dena Smith at denasm@yahoo.com.
